Spectrum Dance Company exists to integrate accessibility and artistry. We provide dancers of all abilities with substantiated training, support, and opportunities to thrive as both artists and individuals. Our Mission is to empower our students to move with confidence, connect with community, and redefine what inclusion looks like in the world of entertainment.
OUR VISION
Spectrum Dance Company envisions a world where dancers of all abilities are presented as equals. Our goal is to build an inclusive studio and talent network that empowers artists with disabilities through professional, evidence-based training, performance opportunities, and creative collaboration across all art forms.
Spectrum Dance Company is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit dance studio for kids and adults with learning and ability differences located in Pasadena, CA.
At SDC, we use curriculum and teaching methods that combine the art of dance with evidence-based practices from behavioral and developmental therapies. This approach allows us to teach dance to people of all ages and abilities in a way that supports both artistic expression and functional skill development.
Each class is designed to be adaptable, inclusive, and empowering—meeting every dancer where they are and helping them grow through movement.
We also provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents through recitals, competitions, and communities performances. We aim to offer the same opportunities that every dance studio offers that have historically been inaccessible for dancers with ability differences. Our goal is to change that precedent and expand those opportunities for every one.
